The most important aspect of any backup product is being
able to restore what you need, when you need, to where you need. After the echoBAK® agents
are installed on each server requiring backup, agents scan each server for changed
data, assemble a file of what has been changed since the last backup, compress
and encrypt the file; then transfer it to the highly redundant echoBAK® director
located in asiGuardian’s secure underground data center. The files
remain compressed and encrypted so you pay for only the compressed disk space
you use and only you can un-encrypt the data with your assigned pin number.
Administrators may choose to recover from a particular file, directory or all
of a server’s data. They simply select the file or directory to be restored,
date and time of the backup and the destination for the recovered information.
